About us

The Fellowship 30a Church

We love and serve the Lord God as we worship Him both corporately and personally – reaching, discipling, and encouraging people in and through Jesus Christ, our Savior. We are a community of believers with a mission to share the good news of Jesus Christ; where all are welcome to a safe environment, where all will hear and experience a simple, clear, life-changing message of:

  • The Grace and Truth of Jesus Christ
  • The Love of God and His amazing mercy toward us
  • The Hope of Redemption and Renewal through Faith in Christ
  • The Joy, Peace, and Compassion through the Holy Spirit’s presence in us

“God loved us so much that He gave us His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will never perish but have everlasting life. For God didn’t send His Son into this world to condemn us, but that we would be saved through Him.” John 3:16-17

Our Fellowship, together in Grace and God’s Love, will encourage one another in our faith based on Acts 2:42:

  • Devoted to the Grace and Truth of God’s Holy Word
  • Devoted to The Fellowship, supporting and encouraging one another
  • Devoted to The Breaking of Bread: sharing our hearts and lives in small group Bible
  • Studies and Sunday Morning Worship Services – both in person and livestream
  • Devoted to Prayer: Seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness together as we lift one another up, praying for others in their need.

“It is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.  For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:8-10

Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always- 1 Chronicles 16:11

The Fellowship 30a Pastor - Gary Wingo

  • Gary Wingo has been in SoWal for over eight years serving the Lord God as he shares the Grace and Truth of Jesus Christ to all he has pastored. In his previous ministry years, he has served as a Young Life Area Director for 15 years in Louisville, Ky, West Tennessee, and in Nashville, Tn. Gary served as the Associate Pastor and Director of Missions at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, GA and as a pastor in Vail, CO. He has been involved in International Missions, teaching in various countries. Gary and Jan had a vibrant relationship-based ministry at the Chapel at Seaside for more than eight years. Attendance grew beyond anything they dreamed of. On Sundays, both the inside seating as well as our outside bench seating grew to beyond capacity crowds. Following the worship service, Jan and her team would lead a fellowship-based, relational hospitality gathering. Together, they led weekly bible studies that grew in number to include many from the local area as well as seasonal residents and tourists alike. During their time outreach to the community grew exponentially with generous contributions being raised for relief efforts for survivors of Hurricane Michael as well as the subsequent economic impact of Covid 19. The Lord continued to bless their efforts as a committed group of individuals erased the financial debt of the Chapel. In addition, the Missions team began working with local and regional ministries helping them with both guidance and financial support. Most recently, Gary and Jan shepherded the expansion of Young Life into South Walton that will impact the lives of many young people for many years to come. Gary and his wife, Jan, have two daughters, April and Megan, and a granddaughter, Arwen!
